Update on life, a request, and a to-do list.
So hey again guys. It's been a while.
I promise I'm still trying to use this and be active, I haven't abandoned it.
So... I found out a few days ago that it's officially official, I'm going to Europe on my 2-week senior trip! :D Now it's a matter of saving up the spending money, and finishing getting stuff to pack. Four weeks to the day that I'm going, and I'm still in disbelief about the whole thing. And I need your help.
List of where I'm going will be up here fairly shortly.. maybe as musical inspiration?
I'd love it if any of you had music suggestions for my iPod for even just a plane/train ride. It can be a song/artist/album/playlist/whatever, but I'm sure I'll be tired of the music I do have because I listen to it so much already. Change of scenery should have a change in music. Doesn't have to be related to anything at all. I'm open to just about any type of music, especially most musicals, but feel free to ask me about whatever.
I'm 99% done applying to colleges, and I've also officially started my preliminary application to the National Guard. Nothing's set in stone yet, but I've just got some health info to fill out and I'll be ready for the next step. It's so weird, saying it in my head. There may be an issue since I have back pain that tends to drive me up the wall, so if I can't get to the doctor to find out what's wrong and how to treat it, I've got a problem.
Other things: I've written out a huge bequeathals page for my yearbook. And by 'huge', I mean WALL OF TEXT WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN huge. What I really want to do is eventually write up another one for those that I couldn't include in the yearbook because they either didn't go to my school, aren't there now, or I'm a friend with you via LJ, Twitter, or other means. It's kind of cool, so expect that in the future. Can't promise I'll remember everyone, but it'll take a while to put together.
Oh yeah, I'm gonna turn 18 the day that Alice in Wonderland premieres here. Definitely looking forward to that, so maybe a midnight premiere.
What I really wanted to do was go see the tour cast of Spring Awakening, since they'll be a state below me ON THE WEEKEND OF MY FREAKING 18TH BIRTHDAY OMG WOULD THAT ROCK OR WHAT. However, tickets are $80 a person (in b4 you all go THAT'S CHEAP WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING), and since I need to save as much as possible for Europe, SA is kind of a no-go. ;__;
Next best thing: the weekend after my return to the USA geez that sounds weird, a theatre company 4 hours away from me is performing Rent, the tickets are ridiculously cheap, and my bestest friend and I want to spend 3 days and 2 nights up there and see the show and the town and relax. She can drive, and I can reserve a hotel room since I'll be legal, lawl. Just have to work out the kinks in that plan (boy does that ever sound wrong) and we can go. :)
So that's my life in a nutshell. Oh, I'm having my senior portrait taken tomorrow evening and I have less than 30 days to finish my 20 page outline for senior thesis. Stress in abundance. I'd appreciate it so much if you guys could especially keep my back problems in your thoughts/prayers.
To do list:
- finish preparing for Europe
- finish writing thesis outline
- planning for seeing Rent \o/
- bequeaths for all you gaiz.
- list of where I'm going in Europe because IDEK SOME OF THIS
