shinydinosaurBuffy's back on TV! Two different channels, no less. :D
My way of celebration: watching Once More With Feeling, singing along, and taking notes on the TV edit.
It does look really hi-def, or something. Definitely a lot clearer.
1. They cut out the opening music after credits up until Buffy starts singing -- then they cut from end of song to her talking with the group.
2. "I've got a theory! It could be bunnies!" *cricket*
3. THEY GOT THE MUSTARD OUUUUUUT
4. "So what'd you sing about?" "Math."
5. Alyson Hannigan being adorable. <33
6. Really.... cheesy dialogue between Anya and Willow before Anya starts singing. And I can't help but laugh.
7. "I'm under your spell..." UM YA. Major musical foreshadowing much? IL it.
8. "Lost in ecstasy, spread beneath my willow tree" *headdesk headdesk headdesk* Although Joss did say that that was the dirtiest line he'd written thus far in his career (paraphrased).
9. Busby Berkley-esque musical number FTW. I love the harmonies too.
10. "Warm in the night when I'm right in her tight --- EMBRACE" Ilu Xander.
11. Xander: "This is my verse, hello!" --- Anya: "Look at me, I'm dancing CRAZY!"
12. Anya: "Clearly our numbers are retro-pastiche. It's never be a breakaway pop hit, but..."
Xander: "Give me an accent, British-man, and show me where to point it."
I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THEY'RE SAYING BEFORE BEING INTERRUPTED BY PARKING-TICKET GIRL. :|
13. Buffy: "What else would I want to pump you for -- oh God I really just said that didn't I"
14. SPIKE. Goes from a British accent to a rather Southwest singing voice. And back again. It's hilar. He's got one of my top favorite songs from this if I had to choose. <33
15. "Does anybody even notice/does anybody even ca---" OHAI CREEPY CLOWN o-o
16. THEY SKIPPED DAWN'S EPIC BALLET?! DDD:
17. Dawn's dialogue about her marriage to the demon being illegal because she's 15 are so funny and I almost always miss them.
18. Giles' and Tara's duet makes me want to cry, it's so gorgeous. I love Anthony Head's voice.
19. The world behind Buffy before she starts singing "Walk Through The Fire" looks so much like Epitaph One, plus dancing. And Joss seems to have a thing for darkness and trashcans with fire in them, since DHSAB had one too.
20. "Will this do a thing to change her/ Am I leaving Dawn in danger/ Is the Slayer too far too gone to care?" - his voice is just <333333
21. "I think this line's mostly filler" LMAO. It's heard easily in the broadcast but you have to listen for it in the soundtrack.
22. "And you can sing along" UH HELLO FOURTH WALL, BUFFY BROKED IT
23. "She needs backup" - *Anya & Tara join her in musical backup* LMAO BEST LINE. Also noted: absense of Willow singing. xD
24. Buffy started dancing on purpose. It's very sobering if you think about it like that. Suicidal dance. And Spike stops her so one of them can live. Awwww.
25. Xander being the one to have summoned the demon seems to be a very weird thing. Like they put everyone's name in a hat and pulled out Xander's.
26. "Say you're happy now, once more with feeling" BAM.
27. I love the choreography for "Where Do We Go From Here". The lyrics are especially fun. Hee. Watching Spike realize he was dancing and go "Bugger this." and leave. XDD
28. Dude. Not cool. They're playing credits over the final little song.
29. "The curtains close on a kiss / God knows we can tell the end is near" - ohey, and Spike and Buffy kiss at the end.
30. The infamous GRR ARGH is gone too. I guess there was a heck of a lot to cut for time. At least none of the music (other than the opening pre-lyric music) was cut.

That said, OMWF is love, and Buffy being back on TV is a thing of awesome.
